Laura Hamel is a Memphis import from Maine, via Florida, and is the Faculty Talent Sourcing Specialist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She was previously a St. Jude postdoc, and has a PhD in Biomedical Sciences.

Laura uses that knowledge and experience to best recruit top notch scientists to Memphis. Her experience within recruitment makes her a great fit with the Memphis Academic Alliance of BioTN where she can give insight into both sides for job seekers and employers seeking candidates. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, working on her house, and enjoying as much time as she can in the great outdoors.
