Rebrand solidifies partnership with Life Science Tennessee focused on industry growth and education

Nashville, Tenn. – BioTN, a nonprofit that promotes biotech entrepreneurship and STEM education, today announced it has changed its name to the Life Science Tennessee Foundation. This rebrand further strengthens the strategic partnership with Life Science Tennessee (LST), a statewide member organization for life science companies, research institutions, and economic development groups.

The two organizations first aligned in 2020 to advance the dual mission of growing the bioscience industry and promoting related education and entrepreneurship initiatives across the state of Tennessee. Since that announcement, LST and BioTN have advocated for and developed policies and programs that: support economic and workforce development; increase research and development; and promote technology commercialization.

“Our partnership with Life Science Tennessee has greatly expanded our ability to advance STEM education and entrepreneurship across the state,” said Dr. Sam Lynch, co-founder and chairman of Life Science Tennessee Foundation and CEO and chairman of Lynch Regenerative Medicine. “This further alignment will not only provide clarity in the market, but also accelerate new advancements in life science investment and economic development.”

A key offering of the Life Science Tennessee Foundation is the Life Science Venture Program, an accelerator program offering a flexible, customized approach for life science startups that want to commercialize their technology, connect to capital providers, and grow their business. Karrie Dudek, Ph.D., an experienced bioscience entrepreneur, directs the program.

“We’re proud to more closely align the new Life Science Tennessee Foundation with our industry association,” said Glenn Perdue, chairman of Life Science Tennessee and managing member of Kraft Analytics. “It is important that stakeholders in Tennessee understand how these two organizations work together to support our state-wide life science industry ecosystem. This rebranding helps us better communicate our joint mission.”
